McDonald's Croatia

McDonald's Croatia, since coming to the Croatian market in 1996, is led by high values and world standards. With responsible leadership, McDonald's achieves the stability of the internal organization, and by integrating all employees into proven processes, it enables the progress of both employees and the whole organization, and ultimately the brand itself. Adjusting to the local needs, socially responsible business and involvement with the local community helped majorly in achieving this.
Continuous investments in employees through targeted, appropriate educations are actually an investment in their development, both on a business and on a personal level. Employees thus have the opportunity to advance from an entry-level position in just 4 to 6 months, while, with dedicated work, they can progress from entry-level positions in restaurants to leading managerial positions.
In order for a good business policy to be realized, but also reflected back to the employees, McDonald's Croatia also pays special attention to the benefits system. With salaries above the average for the sector, employees also have flexible working hours, which includes talks and agreements about employees’ wishes and abilities. Additional benefits include various other forms of stimulations and bonus programs, selecting the employees of the month, seasonal internal social gatherings where employees can connect better, exchange experiences, and where they are provided feedback on how much their contribution is important and appreciated. Also, students are given the opportunity to receive student scholarships, which is an opportunity so far realized by over 100 students!
In order to meet the high world standards, and to achieve all business goals, a highly active internal communication has been developed in the vertical and horizontal direction. Information are classified by importance, so that each employee is appropriately and timely informed.
When employing, McDonald's Croatia uses different channels and integrates them: from social networks to specialized websites, its official website, student centres, and various other media adjusted to the specific positions. Additionally, one of the most important "media" are the employees themselves, who, through their recommendations, but also through their own example and experience, attract new employees.
