HPB an Employer Partner: Investing in employee development for future challenges and successes

Hrvatska poštanska banka is once again a holder of the Employer Partner certificate. HPB obtained this certificate for the fourth time thanks to a well-organized and high-quality human resources management function that is a strategic partner to the business. The certification team also praised HPB's high investments in employee training and development.

HPB employees are provided with numerous professional trainings necessary for the development of knowledge, following trends and the adoption of new skills, as well as opportunities for additional development. By implementing the "Let's Move" internal mobility initiative, the company enables systematic development and advancement of employees and encourages the exchange of knowledge and faster learning important for personal development and career advancement, thus strengthening the Bank's capacity to effectively adapt to market changes. During 2019, the HPB 2.0 transformation project was implemented with the aim of identifying potential bearers of changes in the organization and their additional education in order for them to strongly contribute to the culture of innovation and quality of business with knowledge and ideas.

During the certification process, HPB confirmed its constant concern for the welfare of their employees and for the balance of their business and private lives. The HPB Sport group is extremely active in the company, and employees have access to benefits related to cultural and sports activities, as well as additional health insurance, general exams and psychological counselling as needed. The Flexi pilot project, as one of the initiatives for greater employee flexibility, enabled a number of employees to work from home, and in the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic proved to be excellent preparation for a fast and efficient organization of such work for everyone in the Bank whose job description allows them to work from home.

Since the mission of HPB is to create conditions for a better life in Croatia, socially responsible projects are of great importance. Among them are the cooperation with UNICEF in the program Guardians of Childhood, teaching students, and numerous volunteer activities. The Bank supports the development and strengthening of the role of women in the economy and society, and as an institution with more than 50% of women in management positions, it has three winners of the Future Leaders award given by Women in Adria among its directors.

Marko Badurina, President of the Management Board at HPB, and Lucia Ana Tomić, acting director of Human Resources Management department accepted the Employer Partner certificate from Aleksandar Zemunić, Member of the Management Board at SELECTIO.

The Employer Partner certificate is another confirmation that we are going in the right direction", said Badurina.
