Addiko Bank confirms they are focused on their employees

Addiko Bank is a holder of the Employer Partner certificate again this year, thus showing a high level of commitment to the development of the best HR practices. The bank's human resources department invests a lot of effort into the development of well-thought-out HR practices that respond to real business challenges and in creating a healthy working environment for employees.

In 2019, Addiko Bank implemented a diversity management policy and strategy. During the next period, Addiko Bank will work on educating employees about the importance of respecting diversity and will take concrete actions to further ensure equality and inclusion in the workplace. The bank's commitment to this topic is evidenced by the fact that at the end of 2019, Addiko Bank, as the first bank in Croatia, signed a diversity charter with HUP, and by the fact that over 60% of the bank's management positions are held by women.

Addiko Bank pays a lot of attention to being a suitable workplace for employees who balance business and family challenges. Employees have access to benefits such as a day off for parents of first-graders, a day when employees can bring children to work, yoga practices at the company’s premises, and encouraged Fridays without meetings. In addition, employees have the opportunity to socialize outside the office with a band that consists of employees of Addiko Bank or during sports activities when all employees are invited to engage in physical activity outdoors. Healthy living is also promoted during Addiko Health Day in cooperation with Andrija Štampar Teaching Institute of Public Health, when everyone has the opportunity to measure blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index, while also receiving advice on healthy living.

Addiko Bank employees are also provided with various types of development programs and educations, such as trainings, seminars, conferences, individual and group coaching, e-learning courses and co-financing of formal education. 99% of the Bank's employees have undergone some form of training in the past year, and a new form of education has been introduced through the projects (Nar)učite Espresso, which covers everyday topics such as active listening, giving feedback, procrastination, etc., and Masterclass, where employees can hear interesting speakers from Croatia, but also from around the world. 

Apart from caring for its employees, Addiko Bank also cares for the community. As part of the Addiko Cares program, corporate volunteering is organized within working hours, and twice a year employees have the opportunity to donate blood at the bank's premises.

Tanya Šplajt-Brainović and Mario Žižek, CEO, accepted the Employer Partner certificate on the Bank's behalf from Aleksandar Zemunić, Member of the Management Board of SELECTIO, and Managing Director, Group HR noted that in Addiko Bank, they are very proud of this prestigious acknowledgement because it is an additional confirmation of success in building an inclusive culture that they nurture in Addiko Bank.
