Valamar hotels and resorts confirmed the Employer Partner status
ImageFor the third year in a row, Valamar hoteli I ljetovališta d.o.o. have confirmed Employer Partner status and on Friday, February 6 2009, they have been awarded the Employer Partner Certificate for the current year.



Ivana Zekić, Employer Partner Certificate Project Manager, has awarded the Certificate to Gordana Fabris, Human Resource Director at Valamar hoteli I ljetovališta and stated: „Valamar has satisfied the criteria for receiving the Employer Partner Certificate back in 2006 and became one of the first Employer Partner Winners on Croatian market. Since then they have been confirming their excellence and continuous investment and development of practices in Human Resource Management every year. This year’s progress in strategic Human Resource Management area and work performance appraisal, motivating and awarding employees, points out that Valamar successfully solves most demanding questions in Human Resource Management, and achieved results guarantee a positive trend of further development of this function and business in whole."

Gordana Fabris considers receiving and renewing the Certificate as a confirmation for continuous success in Human Resource Management and a great acknowledgement, but also a motivation for accepting additional suggestions, as well as learning from other companies which are participating in this project: "Analysis which shows that we are the best Employer Partner among hotels in the Certificate and among Top 5 Employer Partners in the country have shown soundness of our investment strategies in our human resources.", stated Gordana Fabris during the Certificate awarding. The strategy mentioned includes the existence of Valamar Academy – internal education and training system for future directors of objects and department leaders, about 26 thousand hours per year for approximately 1300 employees, recruiting new generation of trainees and scholarships for 82 students of hotel – tourist courses in all destinations, elaborated system of awarding the employees etc.

The plan for Human Resource Management processes in the coming year in Valamar hoteli I ljetovališta is implementing an information system for Human Resource Management, with the goal of integrating all business systems, quick availability of information, and also more efficient Human Resource Management.
